Bint Mbareh (2024)

As part of our program around the exhibition The Deluge and the Tree, we are delighted to welcome artist Bint Mbareh, whose work is currently on show at B7L9.

Bint Mbareh will perform an improvised piece of music inspired by Palestinian folklore. She relies on a simple software-based looping mechanism, her voice, and percussive and effects-based elements produced while listening back to her own voice.

Bint Mbareh is a sound/music practitioner and researcher concerned with the time-structuring and unstructuring capacities that music has.
