Live concert by Mehdi Gafsia (2024)

Mehdi Gafsia, a fascinating 20-year-old multi-instrumentalist and composer from Sousse, Tunisia, is emerging in the world of instrumental jazz and hip-hop beats. He will be showcasing, for the first time and exclusively, his 2003 EP released in December 2023, along with a collection of tracks that have never been revealed to the public before. Mehdi's music is characterized by its fusion of jazzy chords, groovy drum patterns, and melodic basslines.

Growing up with a multi-instrumentalist father, who founded Tunisia's first recording studio, Mehdi was surrounded by music from a young age. He began learning the piano at four and gradually picked up the bass guitar, saxophone, and drums. His jazz skills further developed during his teenage years, guided by Tunisian jazz mentor Kamel Sallem.
