Primal Moves (2023)

"Primal Moves" is a live performance project created by Shersh & BENKHLIFA, where both artists combine their individual sonic realms, creating a new playground where the very primitive principles of rhythm and groove meld with the aesthetics of the contemporary techno sound. The project's aim is to focus on what characterizes the so-chased techno feeling through a deconstructed approach. In this experiment, we abandon the 4/4 skeleton to delve into fragments of dub-infused rhythmic loops. It is also a process of "reconstruction" involving the work, movements, and repetitions of daily human life, both in its ancient/organic and modern/industrial facets.
