WATER MATTER - Exhibition Project (2023)

The INTERFERENCE SUMMER PROJECT presents a group of Tunisian and international artists in Dar Ben Achour, for a collective exhibition, on view from August 30th to September 2nd, 2023.

A selection of Tunisian artists from the past Young Masters Programs and International artists are invited to showcase new artistic experimentations reflecting on the use of light and water as artistic mediums and materials.

From drawing, digital painting, to video and installation, a variety of mediums and disciplines will translate ideas and notions on water, morphing the historical site of Dar Ben Achour into an exchange space between the artist and the audience, the memory and the imaginary, all coming to diverse representations, ephemeral visual forms, tangible enough to spark conversation, abstract enough not to dictate the discourse.

Art Mediation;

This exhibition is a space to exchange and debate on water related matters & issues, as well as the role of contemporary art not only in the current world, but also within the local frame of the country.

International collaboration : This year, and throughout the collaboration projects, the City of Cologne, the Media Art Friesland Foundation and the Voga Art Project Non Profit Organization, were invited to join us in our Summer Program, within in the exhibition as well as the Labs, affirming present connections through the work, the frame of togetherness and reflections on the future and the possibilities it holds.
